The role of Strategic Buyer will be key to ensuring the business has a consistent approach to performance management of our suppliers so we can improve service levels and reduce costs where appropriate. With a strong commercial background in Procurement you will have the ability to develop the Procurement Strategy for the business areas.
The Role and Experience Needed

A key part of the role will be to engage new suppliers and manage the end-to-end tender process, ensuring internal engagement from all stakeholders including Compliance, Finance and Legal departments.

All procurement activities must be performed in line with the relevant UK legislation, including UK Competition Law, UK GDPR and UK Bribery Act 2010, so a good knowledge of relevant regulations and laws in this area is essential.
