**Management Accountant - Nottingham - £45k to £50k**

**Salary on offer will be dependant on experience and range from £45,000 to £50,000 + pension + holidays + potential bonus**
**Job Purpose**
**Management Accountants duties to include**:

- Work closely with managers across the business to review performance against budget and prepare revised monthly forecasts, produce written reports and ad-hoc analysis and management information including cost variance analysis and stock reconciliations.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with supervision of the finance team. Oversee daily activities performed by the finance team, such as the issuing of invoices/credit notes, and refunds where applicable.
- Support the Financial Controller with the finance team's training and development.
- Perform initial checks of all payroll activities prior to submitting the data to Financial Controller. Provide cover when necessary.
- Responsible for reconciliation of intercompany accounts and eliminations, various balance sheet accounts and the nominal ledger to trial balance including preparation of consolidated group accounts.
- Prepare and submit UK VAT and overseas sales tax compliance, including monthly and periodic returns.
- Coordinate and be the point of contact for internal and external audits and preparation of the annual R&D Tax claim.
- Provide support to the Finance Team and cover where required.
- Undertake any other tasks or duties as directed by the Financial Controller.
- Provide monthly reporting documentation to the Financial Controller on performance against development plans.
- Provide accurate and timely submission of all payments, month end tasks and Company related submissions for review.
- Accurate and timely submission of VAT, Employment Taxes and stakeholder pension compliance.

**The Management Accountant will have the following skills and experience**:

- CIMA or ACCA qualified, or Qualified by Experience
- Experience in a previous fast paced finance environment
- Demonstrates good listening and communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- A team player with a friendly inclusive approach
- Competent IT Skills - Excellent Skills with Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in an ERP implementation plan
- Experience in all aspect of the payroll process
- Experience in Balance Sheet Account Preparation
- Demonstrates an understanding of Stock transactions
- Demonstrates an understanding of Budgetary Principles
- Possesses strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- Demonstrates the ability to build effective relationships
- self-motivated with drive and enthusiasm
- High energy with a can-do attitude
- Results driven with demonstrable experience in working to tight deadlines, and building relationships
