Trainee Customer Services and Sales Advisor

We have an exceptional opportunity for someone to join the Hendy Performance Lotus team in Poole. This role will allow you the chance to combine your drive for excellent customer service with your desire to be a successful salesperson ensuring the customer receives a Hendy Performance experience that is second to none. Ongoing training across both Sales and Aftersales will ensure this role is a superb foundation for someone looking to build a career in the automotive industry or advance the career of an established sales/service specialist within one of our exclusive Hendy Performance sites.

In this role we are looking for a friendly, driven and ambitious individual who can create memorable showroom, and digital experiences for our customers.

**The Opportunity**:
In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for both optimising product sales for new and used vehicles and delivering service excellence to maximise both business opportunity and customer retention.
- Be responsible for building rapport with customers to assess their needs and make recommendations for suitable products and services to meet those needs, whether by phone, online or face-to-face.
- Prepare the showroom and vehicles for the day ahead; organise and accompany customers on test drives.
- Share your enthusiasm and passion for our cars with customers, showing off each vehicles’ spec and features, whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere for the customer.
- Maintain the digital content for dealer websites and external portals (including photography and vehicle descriptions); monitor advert performance, including pricing and engagement; and produce/share personal product videos and social media content.

**About You**:

- You must have a desire for service excellence and an ability to continuously delight customers and deliver an exceptional experience.
- Be self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic to learn.
- Proven experience in customer facing service roles and/or sales would be highly advantageous (automotive industry experience is not essential)
- It is important that your communication skills are excellent, with the ability to confidently articulate and interact with customers in all situations.
- You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, with an eye for attention to detail.
- You will need to have good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems with speed and confidence, and
- Ideally you will have a good understanding of social media and a passion for digital engagement.
- A proficient driver, with a minimum of 5 years’ driving experience and a full UK licence.
