Job Introduction
The Childrens Continuing Care Team provide care to children who have complex health needs, this includes children and young people who have tracheostomies, gastrostomies and other health related issues.

We provide full training in all areas of the job role and will support you to become confident in managing these health needs to really make a positive difference to the lives of the children and families that we care for.

You will be required to work in children's family homes as well as some other settings such as schools and nurseries. You will work alongside our nurses and experienced carers while you are training, getting used to the job role and getting to know our amazing children and families.

To provide safe and effective health care to children within their homes and in the community as delegated by the childs named nurse and by following the child specific care plan.

An excellent communicator and listener.

Someone who is able to work as part of a team but also autonomously in line with the training they have been given.

Someone who can recognise their own limitations and ask for help when they need it or when a task is outside of what they have been trained to do.

You will need access to a car and hold a valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel to and from family homes in all weather conditions.

You must have the right to work in this country.

You must have basic IT skills or be willing to learn them as part of the job role

Package Description
We are looking for people to come and join our friendly and supportive team of carers and nurses to provide health care support to children and young people with complex health needs in the community.
- Starting salary £21,000-24,000 depending on experience with enhanced pay for unsocial hours.
- Night shifts come with a 33% enhancement on your hourly pay, with Sundays and bank holidays paid at a 50% enhancement. Your mileage will also be paid from your work base, this is currently 45p per mile for the first 10K miles.
