**Role Description**
This is a full-time role for a Stock Controller at Vernacare in Chorley. The Stock Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, including receiving, storing, and issuing stock.
**Responsibilities**
1. Ensuring accurate stock levels through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
2. Investigating and resolving discrepancies in stock records promptly.
3. Receiving, storing, and issuing stock in accordance with company procedures.
4. Monitoring stock levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
5. Processing incoming orders accurately and efficiently.
6. Coordinating with purchasing and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
7. Ensuring the quality and condition of incoming and outgoing stock meet company standards.
8. Implementing measures to prevent damage, loss, or theft of stock.
9. Maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation.
10. Generating reports on stock levels, trends, and variances as required.
11. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to stock management.
12. Adhering to health and safety regulations in the handling and storage of stock.
13. Utilising inventory management systems to optimize processes and workflows.
14. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
15. Liaising with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, and sales to coordinate stock-related activities.
16. Communicating effectively with suppliers regarding stock levels, deliveries, and quality issues.
17. Providing training and guidance to stockroom staff on stock control procedures and best practices.
18. Supporting the development of team members to improve performance and productivity.
