Stock Analyst

Our exclusive client, based in Chorley, are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller/Analyst to work alongside both their accounting and purchasing team. This candidate will be the main point of contact for stock, stock performance and stock trends. Duties Include Managing inventory and purchasing merchandise based on the customer and companys needs Maintaining stock levels to increase profitability and effectiveness Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies. Analyse sales trends, customer demand, and market conditions to forecast future inventory needs and make informed purchasing decisions. Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and stock valuation on a regular basis for management review Establish and maintain effective working relations with all external vendors ensuring clear and concise communication Work alongside the accounts department analysing stock costing Due to regular reporting, a strong Excel user is essential for this role (Vlookups, Pivot Tables). You must also have a naturally analytical mind, enjoy problem solving and have good communication skills (written and verbal).
