HR, Strategy & Operations Project Lead

About the Role/Position:
The HR, Strategy & Operations Project Lead will assess, reinvigorate, streamline, and benchmark against industry, our People processes and workflows on a global scale. This will include leading a series of projects involving collaboration across the People Team toward achieving consistency as well as upskilling our People Team.
The role reports to the Director, HR Strategy & Operations
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Implement and maintain the framework for full process reviews of PBP activities across the employee lifecycle to prioritize and implement standard processes and workflows (including liaising with HRIS/HRIT)
- Develop & institute a framework for governance and audits to ensure that our processes are reviewed and updated at regular intervals to stay current
- Build & facilitate a scalable training program to ensure HR Ops Coordinators are equipped to implement and adhere to new standards for data quality assurance
- Partner with Data & Insights team to implement proper data audits and find automated solutions to access data for our HR team
- Work directly with the Director, HR Strategy & Operations across updates, audits and implementations with the HRIS team
- Identify and support additional process improvement and automation initiatives
- Support and complete employee transactions across HR systems
- Ensure data accuracy & integrity in our systems
- Manage employee lifecycle data inputs with impeccable accuracy
- Serve as the first point of escalation for the coordinators to support and resolve core HR queries, partnering with HR COE Teams to resolve complex queries
- Help build an excellent customer experience and defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Support HR Ops Coordinators in tactically navigating HR systems and tools.
- Recommend enhancements and optimization in our internal HR systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of function
- Support the Director, HR Strategy & Operations with ad hoc projects
What do you need from me?
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- 2+ years of experience working in HR as an HR Coordinator or Generalist
- Thorough understanding of different roles and responsibilities within the HR function
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to deliver impeccable accuracy and quality
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity
- Commercially focused and customer-driven
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service skills including active listening and translating client needs
- Time management skills and ability to stay organized
- Ability to prioritize and have discernment to know when to properly escalate and get feedback
- Experience working with HR & Technology platforms is preferred (e.g. Workday, JIRA, ServiceNow)
- Strong initiative to work independently, be self-motivated and work to meet deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Expert in G Suite
- Knowledge of a union environment a plus
