J Squared Solutions, on behalf of our client at Birmingham Airport, is seeking experienced Recycling Operative Supervisors for an immediate start. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a team in promoting environmental sustainability within the airport setting.

**Position**: Recycling Operative Supervisor
**Location**: Birmingham Airport
**Pay**: £12.15 per hour PAYE
**Working Hours**:

- Two Day Supervisors: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (12-hour shifts)
- Two Night Supervisors: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (12-hour shifts)

**Role Purpose**:
As a Recycling Operative Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the manual segregation of waste, ensuring compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual. Leading by example, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and sustainable recycling process at Birmingham Airport.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and lead a team of Recycling Operatives
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and training protocols
- Utilize technology for data entries and reporting
- Coordinate waste segregation and storage activities
- Prioritize safety for the team and maintain Health & Safety standards
- Communicate effectively with airport management
- Ensure smooth shift transitions and share relevant information
- Conduct operational reporting at the end of each shift
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Complete safety and security inspections as directed
- Demonstrate effective time management
- Support the rotation of bins and holding tank management
- Strive for outstanding service quality
- Escalate incidents or accidents promptly to the Contracts Manager
- Represent The Green Block professionally

**Requirements**:

- Previous supervisory experience in waste management/recycling
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Efficient time management abilities

**Salary**: £12.15 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 2 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Birmingham International Airport, West Midlands (preferred)

Work Location: In person
