We believe at Arriva that what you do is just as important as how you do it. - We’re very proud of our values, which include caring passionately, doing the right thing and making the difference. **About the role** As our Infrastructure Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing IT (Infrastructure) solutions that meet the business and IT strategy, industry trends and Arriva Group requirements. You will identify and evaluate different technologies and new solutions as part of a procurement process and use in-depth industry knowledge to identify opportunities to maximise cost savings and business benefits using technology. Other key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: - Prepare technical programme/project estimates for proposed solutions and support the delivery - Agree solutions with the Technical Design Authority before they are implemented. - Help manage technical governance through both a divisional Technical Design Authority (TDA) and a group wide Global TDA. - Use TDA structures to agree the architecture and high level designs including technology choices, standards, principles, policy etc. - Provide technical assurance using key solution deliverables to ensure the solution is compliant with the agreed architectural specification and with Arriva group standards. - Work with stakeholders (both business & technology) to develop and shape architecture roadmaps that deliver against Arriva group strategies The role is based in Central London or Sunderland. **About you** You can demonstrate significant experience as an infrastructure consultant/architect/lead. designing end to end solutions in the transport, logistics or retail sector. - The role requires a broad technical knowledge of infrastructure solutions, including delivering cloud based solutions (SaaS / iPaaS / IaaS) including both Azure and AWS cloud landscapes. You have experience working with a combination of the following: Kubernetes; Infrastructure as Code; Cloud Operations, Management & Optimisation; Cloud Monitoring; Cloud Cost Management; Cloud Security, Cloud Backup & Disaster Recovery; OnPrem Datacentre to Cloud Migration; OnPrem workload to Cloud migration; Secure DevOps. Aside from the technical skills and experience, you can quickly establish relationships and credibility with customers and have the confidence to hold challenging business conversations at all levels.
