We are looking for a Gardener / Landscaper to join our property service team to undertake gardening & landscape maintenance duties to our empty homes. You will work all across North Yorkshire, ensuring high quality maintenance is carried out ready for our incoming customers receiving their new home.
The Role
In this varied role you will ensure our estates and external areas are clean, safe and attractive by:
Garden Maintenance & landscaping
Basic tree maintenance and management
Hedge Trimming and Pruning
Removal of litter & debris from external areas.
Using chemical treatments as necessary
Using various power tools including grass cutters, hedge trimmers, strimmer's, stump removal tools.
Basic ground works such as levelling and replacing paving
Safe and environmentally friendly disposal of green waste.
You may also provide general labour support to all other trades across empty homes and deliver an excellent new homes experience for our customers, assisting in providing them with homes of the highest standards.
What do you need to have?
Previous experience of working within grounds maintenance/ landscaping and dealing with the general public.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A comprehensive knowledge of grounds maintenance activities.
An NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Environmental or Horticultural or similar qualification or willing to work towards. Demonstrable experience considered as alternative.
The ability to climb ladders and be physically able to undertake the duties
A strong understanding of Health & Safety within the workplace.
You must be able to drive and hold a valid UK driving licence without restriction
