**About the Role**

Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built, Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new 2.94m square foot Mercia campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. This is a great opportunity to be a major part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

As Financial Planner, working on this high profile, fast paced project, you will work within the Automotive sector Finance team reporting to the Mercia Finance Lead. Your role will cover a breadth of areas within the implementation.

You will have responsibility for the financial and reporting accuracy of the project, Assisting both the internal & external budgeting & planning cycles. Also providing financial support to the project business leaders, particularly the Operational Site Director.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Presentation of monthly results both internally and to client.
- Assist in developing monthly performance packs for the client.
- Develop relationships with client’s finance teams & senior managers as well as internal project team
- Responsibility for all Month-end and Year-end results to ensure proper and accurate reporting for the project & transition costs.
- Ensure client invoicing is accurate & timely, fully backed by supporting documentation, in line with commercial contract obligations.
- Develop accurate cash flow forecasting & reporting.
- Preparation and presentation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and corporate plans.
- Work with Finance Lead on ad hoc projects, likely to be internal & external requests.
- Ensure compliance with Unipart controls and policies, including cost control.
- Work closely with project GM’s & HR Business partners to manage large scale recruitment & TUPE transfer.
- Work with Operational teams to assist in accurate Operational & KPI performance reporting & development.
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities within the project.
- Look for, & implement, opportunities to increase profitability.
- Ensure robust and efficient controls and processes are implemented in the day to day BAU contract.
**About You**
- Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA
- Finance background, able to translate operational activity into financial impact.
- Commercial & Operational experience and strong background of delivery.
- Ability to provide credible support to non-finance areas of the business.
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated.
- Accountable
- Customer focused
- Positive and proactive “can do” attitude.
- Discretion required due to sensitive nature of transition ~ TUPE, recruitment, GDPR adherence.
- Good IT knowledge, and literacy particularly spreadsheets
- Strong team player but also happy to work independently on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills.

**Location**:partially remote/some travel required (Oxford/Coventry/Leicestershire)
**Contract Type**: Full Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
**Salary**: up to £47,000 plus benefits
