**Position Overview**:
We are excited to introduce a new role within The Steamhouse Group - Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing business, supporting our day-to-day finance and administrative operations. Working closely with our Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth financial workflows, maintaining accuracy, and assisting with essential business processes.
This position offers flexibility, with a mix of office-based work at our HQ Bakery in Redditch and remote working options. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love bringing structure and efficiency to financial processes, we’d love to hear from you
**Responsibilities**:
- Bookkeeping, cash handling and data entry.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero accounting software.
- Process and issue invoices, ensuring payments are made and received on time.
- Oversee Dext (receipt and invoice management) to streamline financial records.
- Assist with payroll administration, working alongside our accountants and finance director.
- Maintain accurate financial records, reconciling transactions and preparing reports where needed.
- Oversee stock control processes, ensuring accurate recording of inventory movements. Assist in tracking deliveries from the central bakery, maintaining up-to-date records of stock levels, and supporting efficient stock management across locations.
- Assist with staff records, ensuring HR and payroll documentation is up to date.
- Support the HQ Bakery team with operational and wholesale administration.
- Coordinate supplier payments and financial agreements.
- Liaise with external accountants, finance professionals, and internal management.
- Organise and maintain business documents, policies, and reports.
- Provide general administrative support to senior management, ensuring smooth operations.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, finance and administration.
- Proficiency in Xero and Dext (or similar accounting software).
- Experience assisting with payroll and working with external accountants.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a larger team.
**Additional Notes**:
This is a new position within The Steamhouse Group and will evolve as the business grows. The role offers flexibility in both location and responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a dynamic and expanding company.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
