**Job overview**:
There is an exciting opportunity available for a clinical administrator to join the 'family' on Abbeygate at Wedgwood House which supports people through their mental health journey.
We pride ourselves on working together and supporting each other to provide the best care possible for those using our service. Abbeygate Ward looks after older people in West Suffolk who have a physical health and a mental health need. Some of the inpatient beds on Abbeygate Ward are for the care of people with dementia.
This position is to cover Wednesday, Thursday and Friday shifts.
**Main duties of the job**:
- Previous administration experience is essential.
- Full training will be given for this role.
- You will need to be able to demonstrate the strength of your communication, prioritisation and administration skills at the same time as showcasing your knowledge of IT systems.
- You will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs and the ability to think creatively.
- Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining strict confidentiality are also essential.
Essential criteria:
- Experience of working in a busy office.
- Taking and processing referrals via phone and online and extensive knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
- Dealing efficiently and politely with both internal and external customers in a confidential and confident manner.
- Professional exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with a dedication to confidentiality are essential.
This role is vital for the function of our team and will involve administrative support in order that they can provide an efficient service to all.

- Pitman/RSA III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent secretarial experience at intermediate level.
- NVQ 3 Business Administration or equivalent or working towards.
- NVQ 2 Customer Services or working towards.

- Knowledge of Trust electronic record system
**Experience**:

- Understanding and experience in a full range of secretarial procedures and systems gained through practice at intermediate level.
