Shifts: Days. 8.30-5 Monday to Thursday, 12.30pm finish on Friday.

**Salary**: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (doe)
Hours per week: 37 hours per week.
Duration: Permanent
Start date: immediate.
Client Summary:
Leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products based in the UK and Ireland. Areas of expertise include Engine Overhaul, final Drive Overhaul and locomotive refurbishment.
Job role:
The role as a Project Manager will act as a key person in regards to processing bids and client updates, managing both the clients and the production team's expectations. The role is based within the rolling stock manufacturing industry but is to overly technicalso exact experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Project/Contract & Claim Management Functional Interfaces Customer Interface Project Execution Project/Portfolio Performance & Governance Project Management Talent, Processes & Network
Key Duties & Tasks:
Contract & Claim Management
- Responsible for project / contract management across assigned project(s)
- Responsible for the project claims across assigned Project(s)
Functional Interfaces
- Responsible for project interfaces between the project managers and other Core Team functional members
- Responsible as the escalation point on critical functional Topics on assigned project(s)
Customer Interface
- Responsible for customer Interfaces on their assigned project(s) within a product Line context during project execution
Project/Portfolio Execution
- Responsible for the product line assigned project(s) execution as per contractual obligations & stakeholder commitments
- Responsible as the escalation point for all critical execution topics for assigned project(s) within the relevant product line
- Responsible for completion of Gate Reviews on assigned project(s) in line with customer milestones
- Contributes to the product line bid preparation & approval process / hand-over process as required
- Responsible for the assigned project(s) performances (Technical, Operational & Financials) and escalation on critical topics
- Responsible for the assigned Project(s) core team governance, routines, meetings & reviews
- Responsible for the assigned project(s) cash/sales management & contract margin improvement
- Contributes, working with the Head of projects in Implementing the UK Group project management talent (Training and Development) process within the product line
- Responsible for the implementation of the UK Group project management processes and tools on assigned Project(s)
- Contributes to the product line project management networking assisting the Head of Projects
- Project Core Team - Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Safety departments.
- Customers & Key Suppliers
Skills and Education
Degree qualified in Project Management or relevant Engineering discipline.
Must have at least 5 years experience of solid project management.
Experience preferably in the rai or automotive industry.
Ideally have experience of mentoring coach colleagues, graduates etc.
Preferable if a ull member of the APM and/or working toward chartership
