Our company is headed by a team of highly qualified Data Protection Officers with decades of experience between them. Due to on-going expansion, we are looking for an Information Governance Officer to join our team.

We are looking to recruit a flexible, self-motivated, mature in outlook, team member who will work as part of the Subject Access Requests Team assisting in the reviewing and redaction of clients’ Subject Access Requests. **You do not need experience to apply**, you just need to be organised, love reading books and have great attention to detail. You will have the ability to analyse written data and extract information effectively.

Although this is an Exeter based position, we operate a hybrid working system which will require attendance at our office a couple of days a week. We are also extremely flexible to working out of the usual 9-5.30pm hours, if required. We will consider remote working but you will be required to attend in-person training at our offices.

Throughout your time working with DPAS you will be given multiple training opportunities, such as doing BCS training courses and other Data Protection Courses.

**The Role**:
The purpose of this role is to provide proactive and professional administrative redaction services as part of our Subject Access Request Team.

**Main tasks**:
This will include, but is not limited to:

- Managing a varied and complex workload
- Prioritising tasks in order to meet our clients’ requirements
- Reviewing and analysing complex documents that include personal information, on behalf of our clients
- Assisting and supporting the release of data, on behalf of clients

You will be responsible for:

- Building on, and continuing to develop a solid knowledge base of legislation, regulations and technical documents.
- Assisting in ad hoc duties as and when required.

What we require from you:

- Must be a self-starter and able to work autonomously
- Organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of tasks to demanding timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
- Knowledge of, or an interest in, data protection laws and regulations

It would be a bonus if you also had:

- Experience working in a compliance department
- Experience working with data protection and the GDPR.
- Experience working in a process-driven environment
