**The Role**:
We are seeking a First line Risk & Assurance lead for our pensions market to join us on a permanent, part time basis, working 4 days a week.

As the First line Risk & Assurance Lead (Pensions), you will be supporting our Head of Service Delivery (Pensions) and working closely with our network of Risk Champions and second line Risk & Regulatory compliance teams to carry out the following:
**Reporting and returns**
- Work with our Risk Champions and Heads of Business Units to collate first line reporting to support the Head of Service Delivery/Market Lead
- Pensions in discharging risk related responsibilities.
- Support the Head of Service Delivery (Pensions) with the collation of information and reporting required in relation to our Designated Professional Body licence status and Institute & Faculty of Actuaries Quality Assurance kitemark.
- Support the Head of Service Delivery (Pensions) with collating reporting in relation to e.g., anti-money laundering (AML) and the managements of conflicts of interest.

**First line Committee Attendance**
- Attendance at relevant first line committees
- Attendance at our Model Quality Group

**Assurance**
- Work closely with our Business Units and our second line Risk & Regulatory teams to set appropriate first line self-audit/controls testing programmes (aligned with our wider monitoring and assurance plans across the three lines of defence).
- Co-ordinate delivery of the self-audit programme in the pensions market
- supporting Business Units to deliver agreed audits and progress actions to address agreed findings.
- Support Head of Service Delivery (Pensions) to ensure that internal audit and second line assurance/compliance monitoring actions are closed off as agreed.
- Support Head of Service Delivery and Business Units as required with any external audit activity e.g., Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

**Risk control and risk event actions**
- Support Head of Service Delivery and Business Units as required to ensure timely management of risk events and control related actions.

**Frameworks and policies**
- Support Business Units to embed changes and enhancements to our risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Working closely with the second line Risk team, support policy owners with mandatory policy review exercises.
- Supporting Business Units with ensuring that any Business Unit specific policy related documents are accurate and up to date.

**Regulatory compliance**
- Working closely with our second line Regulatory compliance team:

- Support Business Units to comply with our regulatory requirements around e.g., AML, Bribery and Corruption, management of conflicts of interest, Gifts and Hospitality.

**Training**
- Deliver training to business units as required on risk management/regulatory compliance related topics e.g., adherence to AML processes, risk event reporting requirements etc.

Other ad-hoc/project related work as required e.g., supporting with system rollouts in first line.

To succeed in the role, you will be/have:

- Logical and organised with good attention to detail;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience of dealing with different stakeholders across a business.
- Ability to prioritise and manage several different projects at the same time spanning different areas of work.

**Qualifications/Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Experience in a risk management related role in financial services in an FCA regulated environment.
- Experience of working with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and ideally SharePoint.

**Desirable**:

- Risk management degree or IRM certificate in Enterprise Risk Management.
