**Job Title**: Account Manager

**Location**: Northampton

**Salary**: £22,000 to £25,000

We are currently recruiting an Account Manager to work for our client based in Northampton who provides telemarketing, business development and market research support to suppliers in the construction and industrial markets.

**Day to Day Responsibilities**:
Below is a short list of some of the responsibilities
- Complete understanding of client's background, products & services, target market sectors, competition, culture & values and internal structure.
- In depth understanding of our remit and the strategy aligned to meeting client objectives.
- Total understanding and adherence to project processes put in place.
- Develop and nurture a professional relationship with the client(s)
- Quality outbound calls to specific prospects on behalf of clients with a view to identifying or creating new business opportunities (this is all Business to Business) and arranging meetings between our clients and the prospect to discuss the opportunityin more detail. Working from our best in class database and data.
- High end qualification enabling our client to better prepare for and manage the meeting with the prospect
- Accurate information input & organised management of database, facilitating structured targeting & pipeline management.
- All project related administration
- Assisting with the preparation of and attending review meetings with the client (once ready)
- Ongoing knowledge development of Construction & Building Services industry and subsequent supply chains to enable better performance.
- Ongoing development of telephone sales and other business development related skills.
- Speed of Learning & Information Retention
- Ability to take on board new information quickly, understand it & re-present it clearly
- Able to learn & follow processes
- Ability to engage in & hold a conversation succinctly whilst demonstrating clarity & confidence
- Demonstrable good English language skills, i.e. grammar, punctuation and the ability to re-present information in their words
- Ability to manage their day effectively & efficiently, doing the right things at the right times
- Build rapport quickly & professionally with prospects & clients over the phone
- Willingness and confidence to integrate & bond with the internal team
- Naturally confident whilst remaining humble
- Willing & able to think for themselves & act accordingly
- Takes pride & ownership for their work & responsibilities
- Open to feedback and willing to implement
- Consistent, naturally positive outlook who can see the learning positives in every situation.
- Proactive nature
- Development focused
- Desire to push themselves out of their comfort zones
- Minimum 30 wpm completing this
- Good Word & Excel skills
- Driving Licence/access to a vehicle
- Self-motivated - someone who is naturally driven by **their own** aspirations to succeed so that we can invest in them & facilitate their development
- Work ethic - somebody who behaves and works in a way that is conducive to achieving their goals
