This is an Apprenticeship Role under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. The Admin and Clerical Officer (Apprentice) will be required to undertake up to an 14 month training programme upon commencement of this Apprenticeship, with an aim to attain an NVQ Level 2 Customer Service qualification. Completion of the qualification is a requirement of the contract of employment. During this training period, salary will be paid in accordance with Annex 21 of the Terms and Conditions. Months 1 - 6 of the training period will be paid at 70% of the top of Band 2 pay scale/Real Living Wage (whichever is the greater) and Months 7 - 18 will be paid at 75% of the top of Band 2 pay scale. Upon successful attainment of the qualification, even if sooner than the 14 month allocated timeframe, the post holder will automatically move to the Band 3 as they will then meet the full KSF outline of this Band 2 role and be expected to undertake all duties within the Support Secretary Job Description as indicated

Along with the team of OH secretaries, this role will provide full and comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the multidisciplinary Occupational Health Service.

A significant part of your time will be spent on reception duties where a friendly and outgoing nature and pleasant telephone manner are crucial. Basic keyboard skills are essential and training on the Occupational Health IT system, Cohort, will be provided.

You will work as part of a team within a busy office environment, ensuring that the duties are undertaken efficiently and pleasantly, escalating any issues, concerns or progress to the Office Manager.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
