Special Needs Teaching Assistant required to provide 1-2-1 support for a Male Key Stage 5 student with Special Educational Needs. Do you have experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant? This vibrant special school, close to Central Birmingham is currently recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support for a Key Stage 5 student whose primary diagnosis is Autism.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant working on a 1-2-1 basis you will be supporting this student through their academic journey. This role requires a Special Needs Teaching Assistant who is a confident communicator and possesses excellent classroom managementskills. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants who all provide 1-2-1 support for students. You will also be working with an outstanding class teacher who loves to teach
Job role:

- Supporting a Key Stage 5, Male student with Special Educational Needs
- Acting as a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant
- Delivering intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviour
- Understanding a range of SEN, including Autism
- Receiving outstanding support from the SENCO and Class Teacher
**Requirements**:

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with Special Educational Needs (ideally Autism)
- A willingness to learn and adapt
- A calm, patient and empathetic communication style
