Edinburgh, United Kingdom Get Staffed Full time

Event Coordinator

Remote working - Travel to events required
Salary £25,000 - £28,000 FTE (depending on experience)

Our client, a software event company running industry-leading conferences is seeking an experienced event coordinator, based in the Edinburgh area, to help deliver world-renowned events.

The company's aim is to provide great rather than big events. While quality and value for money are priorities, it's important to ensure everyone involved with the events feels they have the opportunity to meet their needs and get the most from the conference. The client provides events that are high-value, affordable, interactive and exceeding participant expectations.

In this fun and varied role, you will join a small team to provide effective and efficient administrative and operational coordination for the smooth running of events. Event timelines overlap, so you will be working on multiple events at one time.

In order to be suitable for this role you must be a capable Event Coordinator with proven experience of delivering events: planning, administration, and logistics. You will have outstanding customer service skills and excellent attention to detail.

Whilst working (remotely) alongside the rest of the team, the role will involve mainly working independently from home - using your initiative and with minimum instruction so you must be able to recognise and resolve problems quickly and efficiently - and know when to ask for help.

Our client's team joins together at events, as such you will be expected to be fully available for in person events, some of which will be in Edinburgh though you may also be required to travel to events held in other UK locations.

It is a busy role, sometimes with conflicting priorities, so will require a calm head under pressure and some flexibility regarding work hours. You will need to be immediately effective within the role, so proven relevant skills and experience is essential.

Our client takes equal opportunities seriously, diversity and inclusion are more than just words, they are an organisational priority for their events. They have a culture where everyone is encouraged to bring their full, authentic selves to work.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly team with lots of potential to grow and develop.
