As a Senior Editor in Cambridge University Press and Assessment you will help us deliver our ambitious Schools publishing plan and enhance our customers' experience.
**About the role**
You will work with an experienced and global team on the development of key products that build on our trusted reputation as a quality University Publisher that helps millions of people worldwide unlock their potential.
As a pivotal member of the team, you will help to deliver exciting and innovative course materials for learners of English including a broad range of both print and digital content. Working with the Commissioning Editor and/or Product Owner, alongside the wider cross-functional team, you will be responsible for ensuring that both print and digital products are delivered on time and within budget with a customer centric focus.
**About you**
You are an experienced editorial professional, looking for a new challenge, with the ability to be flexible and personable, whilst working both independently and collaboratively as part of an international and cross-functional team.
Alongside your strong editorial project planning and management skills, you will bring to the team your analytical thinking, and the ability to plan long-term whilst adapting to changing circumstances and being responsive to setbacks through creative problem-solving. You will have a proven track record of working to tight deadlines and delivering to specification and budget, as well as experience in a wide range of ELT products and workflows.
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Experience of working effectively with authors, in-house teams and external freelancers and suppliers
- Knowledge of ELT pedagogy theory and practice, including a CELTA/TESOL qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Proficient use of English with strong writing and speaking skills, as well as active listening skills
- Knowledge of learning and assessment methodologies (with experience of Cambridge Exam qualifications) is desirable
- A degree in a relevant field or proven comparable experience
