We are looking for a full time cook to join us at Shire Oak Care Home in Sandhills, Walsall.

**Hours**: 8am to 5pm, 36 hours per week.

**Pay Rates**: £11.15ph

We have a fantastic team of Carers and a group of exceptional residents looking for someone who can provide wholesome, traditional meals to all.

As one of our highly valued cooks you will:

- Assist in the preparation and provision of the meals provided.
- Be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks following pre-set menus in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations to ensure meals are nutritious, appetising and meet dietary needs.
- Undertake simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to the relevant senior staff member to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and surrounding areas is maintained to a high level.
- Attend training courses as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.15 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Professional Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
