Then this may be the opportunity for you Join us at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust (OHFT), training to become a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, gaining a BSc Honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy with Birmingham City University, whilst you work.

The Speech and Language Therapy Apprenticeship combines clinical employment, work based learning, and academic learning. It is a fully funded route towards qualification as a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.

The PICU provides a safe and supportive environment whilst young people are in the most acute and vulnerable stage of their illness. The unit’s core model is positive behavioural support (PBS) and other interventions will be considered for young people including medication, individual and group psychological therapies and family support as recommended by the NICE guidance, and dependent on clinical need.

During the apprenticeship you will develop skills and knowledge that will allow you to work in today's dynamic and changing healthcare environment. Whilst you will be based in one specific team across our community and mental health services, your placements will provide a variety of learning environments both within Oxford Health and with external healthcare providers.

There is a requirement to travel to Birmingham City University campus for academic study and classes and to be able to travel between sites both within Oxford Health and externally for placements. This is a countywide post and it is expected that you will travel across the county as part of this role.
