This innovative and sustainable business has grown over the last 6 years from an R&D stage to the current scale up business and with that growth, they need a supply chain expert with the end-to-end knowledge who can help the supply chain process to evolvein line with increasing customer demands.
The Supply Chain Manager will help establish robust processes for how the business sources, ships and receives their machines and various biological products globally. They will play a pivotal role in selecting and managing regional logistics partners forinbound and outbound - whilst at the same time working internally to align solutions for the different areas of the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with all areas of the business to design and roll out a supply chain strategy for all areas of inbound/outbound logistics, strategic sourcing and supply chain operations
- Working with procurement to establish partnerships with 3PLs to help with storage and shipment of fermenter machines and biological feed materials
- Working with finance to help understand custom requirements when products are shipped globally
- Scheduling in line with the company's growth production plan (development of process cycle)
- Play a hands-on role in all areas of the global supply chain - demonstrating their ability to get hands on to deliver for the business
Essential skills and experience:
- Ideally 10+ years in an end-to-end supply chain role - with experience designing and implementing supply chain processes
- Previous start up industry experience would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of logistics - inbound, outbound and warehousing
- Experience sourcing, contracting and managing 3rd party logistics providers
- The ability to design and monitor strategic KPIs focused on OTIF metrics
- Marine Cargo insurance knowledge would be advantageous
- Accredited to IoSCM standards or equivalent is desirable
