We also deliver comprehensive maintenance, systems integration, and product support services. We are now looking for an Aerospace Buyer on an 18 month fixed term contract to take on the following responsibilities:
Supporting the Senior Buyer
Managing MRP requirements to satisfy production schedules and implementation of appropriate recovery plans.
Receiving Bills of Materials and carrying out system checks on materials and services to be supplied to projects and shipping requirements.
Negotiating with suppliers obtaining best price and lead times, resolving any supply chain issues
Liaising with customers/ suppliers to respond to routine queries regarding contract and supply chain issues.
Providing input to project meetings to answer questions concerning contract/supply chain matters.
Monitoring and measuring process performance producing regular and accurate management information/reports as required.
Excellent communication skills with a good understanding of techniques that drive Quality/cost improvement
~ Manufacturing procurement experience (including reading technical drawings, engineering background preferred)
~ Experience with Supplier KPI’s and performance management
~ Proficient use of MS applications with good understanding of MRP and other planning systems
