The Procurement and Supply Chain function for Marshall Land Systems are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist (12 month fixed term contract) to provide oversight, management and accountability for programme material, service and system needs, in terms of planning and delivery, in coordination with the wider programme team, procurement and supply chain organisations.

Responsibilities in the role of Supply Chain Specialist will include:

- Planning of the material portfolio and support to maintenance of an integrated delivery plan, coherent across the supply base, programme and function.
- Delivery of material to cost, schedule and quality commitments whilst managing risk, it’s mitigation and taking a coordinated approach to accommodating change. Accountable for maximising material availability and minimising working capital exposure across programme.
- Coordination of the schedule for procurement and subcontracting process, informing commodity managers, the strategic procurement team lead, and the supply-chain manager of the programme needs from creation of RFP through contract negotiation and award, subcontract execution, delivery acceptance and contract close.
- Monitor and control material delivery performance, taking necessary escalation and mitigation steps against arising issues and risks in harmony with category managers.
- Maintains close collaboration with the programme team, across project management and planning, operations, engineering and quality to ensure material supply is accurate, in full and on-time.
- Effective engagement and communication with a wide range of stakeholders, across Programme and Functional leadership.
- Holds holistic view of material availability and possible shortages at a Customer Project level to be able to represent the Procurement and Supply-Chain team at Project reviews and updates.
- Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to present data clearly and concisely
- Ability to work under pressure with competing demands

Technical Competencies/ Education:

- Degree in Supply-Chain Management or other relevant discipline
- Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, P2P and procurement processes
- Good numeracy skills / data management skills

**Experience**:

- Experience working with ERP systems (IFS preferable)
- Procurement or Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment

Based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe.

Other core services include the integration of complex systems into a range of vehicles for use by the military and security services including explosive ordnance disposal and battlefield ambulances all underpinned by a full in-life managed service provision to ensure customers‘ equipment is available where and when they need it.
