**Hours of Work**:Part time, 20 hours a week

**Salary**:Between 24k and 28k pro-rata depending on experience

The Role
Grit is a small and tight-knit organisation and this post is all about working collaboratively with every member of the staff team. It is a fantastic opportunity to play supportive role provide in a range of areas critical to the effective running of a national charity.

You will stay on top of the administrative detail that ensures the smooth running of our Head Office and our high-quality projects. Most of the Grit team work from home so it is important also to understand that you are likely to be working in office on your own for some of the week.

JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Co-ordination and Administrative Support
- Produce and send out all relevant training paperwork handbooks, registers, name badges, and certificates at designated points during programmes
- Use the training calendar and information received from operational staff to ensure all programmes have relevant materials in place in good time
- Organise and make travel arrangements for Grit colleagues
- Assist with sourcing and booking venues
- Prepare evaluation and other paperwork for training events (most of our evaluation is captured electronically but there is still a small amount that uses a paper-based system)
- Tailor evaluation forms -both MS Word and Google Forms versions
- Provide administrative and logístical support for fundraising and other promotional activities by colleagues, trustees and volunteers

**2. **Office Co-ordination**
- Filing of documents and maintaining records as required
- Answering phones and directing enquiries appropriately
- Monitor and liaise as necessary with suppliers of utilities, insurance, IT support, finance support, buildings services (inc landlord, office cleaners, waste disposal, alarm system) and all other matters relating to Head Office
- Ensuring the photocopier and other office equipment is supplied and running effectively
- Providing general administrative support as required by the organisation

3. Development
- Participate in Grit trainings to support your own personal and professional development
- Attend and contribute to internal Grit meetings and meetings with partners and clients
- Contributing ideas to the continuous review and development of Grit’s work

Education and qualifications
- Qualification to at least NVQ level 3 would be an advantage
- At least six months experience in a support or administrative capacity
- Experience/knowledge of working in voluntary sector would be an advantage

- Willingness to take full ownership of tasks and complete them to agreed deadlines
- Ability to organise yourself and help organise others
- Strong and rigorous administrative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Confident in using, or willingness to learn to use Google Drive and Mailchimp software

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £12.47-£13.46 per hour
