**The Opportunity**:
The University of Edinburgh’s Study and Work Away Service (SWAY) oversees the management of international study and work placement experiences for students and staff, working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders. The ultimate aim is to deliver a transformative student experience and to enhance graduate attributes such as intercultural awareness, soft skills and adaptability, resulting in enhanced employability prospects.

This fast-paced and varied role will offer the post holder an opportunity to gain expertise in all aspects of SWAY’s International programmes, including administrative support, student communication, and data processing. The position will include supporting the team with the delivery of ad-hoc events and projects, and ensuring that we meet our contractual obligations to external partners and national agencies.

There will also be opportunities for the post-holder to develop their organisation and communication skills by liaising with internal and external stakeholders and supporting the delivery of online and in-person communications and events. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues but should also demonstrate an ability to manage their own workload, working flexibly to support colleagues during pressure points.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Educated to higher level or equivalent.
- Relevant administrative experience, preferably in an HE environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel).
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to accuracy and detail.
- Flexibility and proactive attitude.
