We are recruiting for a **Team Leader** to join our Stannah Stairlift manufacturing facility in Newburn in our newly created Paint Plant.

The purpose of the **Paint Plant** is the** **loading and unloading of rail sections for painting. Wrapping and packing rail sections into crates for transit.

As the** Team Leader** for this area you will be responsible for ensuring workload priorities are understood and communicated effectively to the team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will coordinate daily output and team priorities.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 06:15 to 14:45 and Friday 06:15 to 11:00

You will need to be able to manage a team, building a multi skilled workforce and supporting individual development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in accordance with health and safety and environmental requirements by promoting a safe working environment. Identify potential issues and escalate appropriately.
- Effectively communicate workload priorities to the team.
- Ensure paint plant output complies to the sales order requirements and keep the Production Manager informed of progress towards daily targets.
- Identify root cause of unplanned downtime and work with the Production Manager to facilitate a permanent solution.
- Identify skills gaps within the team and work with the Production Manager to facilitate a strong multi-skilled work force.
- Deliver the objectives as agreed with the Production Manager; develop a team culture of ownership and empowerment.
- Assist the Production Manager in ensuring all required data is collated within the required timeframe.
- Participate as well as encourage/support the cell members in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Champion best practice in terms of housekeeping within the allocated area.
