The Structural Heart (SH) team are currently responsible for Transcatheter Aortic Valves (TAVI - Evolut platform) and Transcatheter Pulmonic Valves (TPV - Melody). The TAVI the market is growing double digits in both the UKI & EMEA and is increasingly competitive. In Structural Heart there is a constant focus on innovation, with significant investment in R&D and therefore a strong product pipeline, with several new products/therapies over coming years. The immediate focus for the UKI SH team is TAVI, which is clearly identified as an important growth driver for Medtronic.

The primary focus of the SH Technical Consultant role is to provide excellent clinical/technical support and education for Medtronic TAVI (and Melody) implanters/implanting teams, to ensure Medtronic best practice guidelines on the use of products are followed and best clinical outcomes achieved for patients whilst enhancing Medtronic’s reputation in the market.

**A Day in the Life**
- Provides clinical implant support to the clinical team in theatre/cath lab, advising, guiding and shaping the intervention. This includes; support of pre-op case planning (including sizing support through use of 3Mensio), loading of the valve bioprosthesis, intra-op technical guidance and recommendations in-line with Medtronic best-practices, the post-op review process, etc.
- Plans and priorities the execution strategies for clinical, technical and education programmes within the SH team (TDS team/SH sales team, marketing, market development, Country Sales Manager), in line with the UKI business objective, account plans and roles and responsibilities
- Provides technical support to the customers across the defined area before and after the implant of the device. Provides troubleshooting support to field sales force and customers on request.
- Participates in the development of employee and customer training/education programmes. Prepares study materials, plans, organises and conducts training to customers (physicians, technicians and nurses) in collaboration with the sales force/network team.
- Supports Sales force during presentations to customers upon request.
- Builds strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers..
- Supports marketing and sales teams with the introduction and market launch of new products and therapies.

**Must Haves**
- Able to work in a cardiac cath lab/operating room environment
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Driving licence

**Nice to Haves**
- TAVI Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurse with Cardiac experience, Echocardiographer or similar Medical experience
- Knowledge of the competitive, cardiology marketplace
- Previous training/education experience
