The position therefore requires a strong individual with commercial awareness, a positive attitude and "Can-do" approach at all times, whilst being comfortable to challenge at all levels. **About the key responsibilities **In the role of Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for: - Management accounts preparation of HO Cost Centre - Profit and Loss, Balance sheet reconciliations inclusive of Accruals and Prepayments, preparation/posting of monthly journals (sign of by FM) maintaining the Vehicle Stock BOOK(VS) and resolving any otheraccounting queries - Extended Warranty Reconciliations (Holiday/Sickness Cover - Review/Approve and sample check HO/Centre commission and bonus packs/outside of approved pay plans - Preparation of VAT/ Partial Exemption calculations on quarterly basis and submission of the return - Preparation of the working file for Corporation tax for approval of Finance Manager - Review costs (IT/Marketing/Facilities/Training/Legal & Professional) against the budget on monthly basis with the Departmental Manager /Management Accountant and report significant increase/savings to CFC for planning purposes - Prepare Budget/Forecast for H/O on monthly basis and review it with the Finance Manager - Sign off Bank Reconciliations, review the cash/deposit suspense Account and the Credit Card reconciliations with the Finance Manager - Authorise Purchase orders and transactions - Providing Support documentation for to the Compliance and Internal Audit teams - Continuous review of Head Office Internal process and controls, ensuring - Analysis of group Insurance Product sales and profit for quarterly Executive Committee Meetings **About you **To be successful for the role of Senior Management Accountant, you will have / be: - A motivated individual with a desire to succeed who balances a strong accounting background with the ability to provide effective commercial support to the Finance Manager - Newly Qualified Accountant or a Qualified Accountant with 1-2-year experience (ACCA/ACA or CIMA) - Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to adapt to changing finance and regulatory processes within a fast-moving sales environment and prioritize work in accordance with business needs. - The ability to seek wherever possible, to enhance efficiency and productivity within the department through optimization and use of systems **Key attributes**: - Proficient in Excel - Keen interest in Direct and Indirect Taxes - Excellent attention to detail - Self-motivated with a result driven approach - Focused & dynamic - Excellent communication Skills - ability to liaise with all levels of the business - Strong analytical ability **About the rewards **For the role of Senior Management Accountant the hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm.There is a competitive salary on offer and you will also receive a fantastic benefits package, including: - 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays - VW Group Company funded vehicle - Option of a 2nd VW Group at preferential leasing rates - Private Medical Insurance - DC Pension Scheme - Life Insurance - Staff preferential rates - Employee Discounts Programme - Employee Assistance Programme Study support/training will be available for the individual if they wish to continue with Advance tax qualification. **How to apply You must have eligibility to work in the UK.Please n
