Apprentice Supply Chain Operative

We are the exclusive distributor of brands such as Stormforce and Zoostorm as well as being a Master Distributor of ASUS, AMD, AOC, BenQ, Gigabyte, MSI, Philips, Razer and Sapphire. In addition, we are a Microsoft authorised distributor.
We are now seeking an Apprentice to work within our Logistics Department. We appreciate you may currently have little or no warehousing or distribution experience but through the programme we offer you will gain extensive knowledge of a variety of areas including but not limited to:
- Picking and packing of orders for our customers.
- Utilisation of hand-held scanners combined with operating systems that work within our Warehouse Management System.
- Labelling of products out for delivery to customers.
- Exposure of utilising various Microsoft packages.
- Operating Manual Handling Equipment following appropriate training.
- Stock Control including inventory counts and investigatory work
- Determining pick-path efficiencies
- Supporting with Tier 1 customer orders
- Operating within our Goods-In department including receiving stock and putting away of stock
Demonstrating an organised and methodical discipline to your work schedule you will need to adapt to working to deadlines and becoming familiar with a target driven environment. As a team player you will also adapt over time to multi-skilling and working within a busy and often pressurised environment. Reliability and a strong work ethic is possibly the most important element we are looking for as a new work colleague in our business.
You will be required to work on a weekly schedule of 37.5 hour per week, **Monday to Friday** 9am to 5pm as this will allow you the opportunity to see most areas of our operations as an apprentice during your programme. We are fully committed to offering a placement following the scheme but this will be assessed on what you have brought to the role during your time with us.
Holiday entitlement is 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holiday per year with an additional 2 days provided at Christmas for closure.
**Salary -** £7.50phr
