About the role
We are looking for an accomplished and proactive Head of FP&A to join us on a maternity cover contract. In this pivotal role, you will lead our financial planning and analysis function, providing insight-driven support to strategic decision-making and enabling performance excellence across the business.
What you will bring to the role:
- Lead the FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning- Partner with senior leadership to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis- Drive improvements in reporting processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy- Manage the preparation of monthly management reports, board packs, and performance dashboards- Lead, mentor, and support the FP&A team to ensure high performance and development- Ensure alignment with corporate finance policies and compliance standards
About you:
- Proven track record in a senior FP&A or finance leadership role, ideally within a global organisation in the technology, advanced manufacturing, or scientific/engineering sectors- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and advanced financial modelling/reporting skills, supported by proficiency in relevant tools.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and geographies- Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred, with experience managing change and driving process improvements.- Hands-on, collaborative approach, willing to get into the detail, take ownership of issues, and see them through to resolution- Demonstrates integrity, curiosity, adaptability, and resilience, with a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, evolving environment
