Do you have an investigative mindset and an eye for detail?
Are looking for a role that gives you autonomy and the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders?
If so, we are looking for a Compliance Officer to join us at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and we’d love to hear from you.
**Job description**:
Compliance Auditors play a key role in ensuring the agency meets its statutory obligations in relation to compliance for Driver CPC and Theory Tests.
Conducting on-site investigations and audits across the UK, you will check compliance with defined criteria, manage risks and ensure adequate controls are in place at approved test centres to maintain the standard of statutory training and testing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and enjoys autonomy in their work to help keep Britain’s roads safe. You will spend a lot of time ‘in the field’ and will be responsible for scheduling visits and planning your journeys, so the ability to plan ahead and effectively manage your time is essential.
**Responsibilities**:
Your duties will include:
- Manage casework, which will include intelligence and audits, and be responsible for prioritising and targeting centre visits in-line with DVSA strategy
- Collate and analyse complex information before, during and after the audit visit to inform and focus the compliance visit to ensure effective and efficient use of time and resource
- Conduct audits to a professional standard (ISO 9001) and ensure delivery of professional excellence and expertise
- Communicate findings and outcomes to promote best practice, identify and implement improvements to processes and working practices and produce fair, considered, and consistent reports
- Report on casework and activities at monthly meetings and support the Product Specialist and other stakeholders in the audit process
**About you**
You are proactive and self-motivated and enjoy working under your own initiative as well as part of a team. Highly organised and with strong time management skills, you will be able to effectively plan and manage your work and travel to maximise productivity while being able to react to changing priorities and deadlines.
You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build, maintain and promote positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work together with these to achieve business objectives.
**About us**
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) helps everyone stay safe on Britain's roads.
We do this by helping people through a lifetime of safe driving, helping them keep their vehicles safe to drive, and protecting them from unsafe drivers and vehicles.
