Cabin Safety Trainer

**Description**:
The Cabin Safety Trainer holds responsibility to the Aircraft Commander for the safety and wellbeing of passenger cabin occupants, including emergency & evacuation procedures.

Also includes management of aircraft cabin technical systems. Secondary responsibility includes passenger comfort, including on board services.

The Cabin Safety Trainer will be responsible for additional training, observation and appraisal duties to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies or company requirements. Additional responsibilities will include office based duties.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertake the duties of an SCCM as and when required to do so
- Undertake Duty Safety Trainer duties as and when required to do so
- Achieve and maintain a high standard of SEP and Immediate Care knowledge
- Be an ambassador for ATr and a role model for other ATr Cabin Crew
- Demonstrate good operational discipline through adherence to ATr Standard Operating Procedures making
- recommendations for the improvement of operational safety, efficiency, policies and procedures
- Demonstrate competence during all office based tasks
- Support and further develop interdepartmental relationships
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the role.
- Motivation and leadership capability for building the corporate safety culture
- Undertake Compliance Monitoring Activity within the department
- Maintain SME status for CSPM and D2 Manuals
- Maintain oversight and update departmental manuals
- Procedures Manual
- Point of contact for third party Training Providers, ensuring all training material meets both ATr and regulatory
- compliance
- Perform oversight flights for third party aircraft in accordance with CAA requirements
- Devise and deliver regulatory Cabin Crew Training Courses
- Maintain, update and issue Cabin Crew Attestations and Cabin Crew Training records
- Undertake line training and promotional training and check flights for Civilian Cabin Crew
- Advising and making recommendations to the Cabin Safety Manager & Cabin Crew Training & Complinance
- Manager as required

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**:

- Demonstrable leadership and mentoring skills combined with strong technical knowledge.
- Ability to solve problems and provide solutions
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- A demonstrable passion and proactive attitude towards Safety
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an operating cabin crew member. This may not necessarily be with ATr but
- must be within the last 36 months and is at the discretion of the Head of Cabin Services
- Significant evidence of presentation delivery
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, with a meticulous eye for detail
- Demonstrable experience of checking and appraising individuals and processes within an Airline environment

**Desirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment**
- Attestation of training as Cabin Crew
- Previous experience of writing manuals and checking for compliance
- Experience in supporting the administration of regulatory documentation
- Good computer literacy (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Be proficient in the English language (written, verbal & reading)
