**Buying Administrator**

Join our team as a Buying Administrator and be at the heart of the action.

You will support the buying team with essential admin tasks, manage the product journey from sample to launch and keep everything on track by overseeing the critical path. With your strong communication skills, you will liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth delivery schedules and help make sure new products hit our website on time. Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm from Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Fridays (8:30am to 4:30pm)

We offer a competitive salary up to £26k depending on your experience and look forward to discussing this with you during the interview process.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

Reporting directly to our Senior Buyer, you will be the star of the show, managing our database and product listings with flair. Your daily tasks will include:
**Administrative Support**:
Providing daily administrative assistance to the buying team in various areas such as product development

Maintaining up-to-date records and managing databases and files efficiently.

Efficiently inputting new products into our website system. This includes ensuring accurate product descriptions, specifications, pricing and availability.

**Critical Path Management**:
Assisting the Assistant Buyer in managing the critical path, overseeing and ensuring everything is updated in a timely manner.

Tracking product development stages to ensure deadlines and delivery schedules are met.

**Sample Management**:
Managing samples, ensuring that all production samples are properly labelled and approved.

Arranging shipments of samples from suppliers in line with key timeframes.

Attending sign off meetings, organising and coding samples and ensuring they are presented in the correct order.

**Quality and Accuracy**:
Performing daily checks of product categories on our website and databases to ensure product descriptions are accurate and there are no spelling or data entry mistakes.

**Competitor Analysis**:
Conducting weekly competitor shop packs to monitor pricing, shapes, colours and emerging trends, suggesting actions based on findings.

**Experience & Skills We’re Looking For**

**Required skills include**:
Previous experience in an administrative role within a retail or buying environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for managing data and generating reports.

Highly organised with the ability to manage own workload.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proactive team player, with a flexible attitude and a willingness to support others.

Knowledge of Paintshop Pro or Photoshop is desirable.
