**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Help with food safety practices, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Support chefs with catering events by preparing food items as directed.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages.
- Participate in meal preparation for various dining services, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is advantageous.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices will be beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills in the culinary field.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
