We are currently looking for a Family Partner Youth Worker to help support the service based in Newcastle.

This post is to cover maternity leave and you will be based within Newcastle Upon Tyne East Community Family Hub.

**Initial Specific Responsibilities**
- Work with families with children aged 0-19years
- To support all contract areas though skills, knowledge, interest and experience will be taken into consideration around a main focus area within the contracts.
- Provide enhanced support to families with complex needs where children are identified as being at risk of poor outcomes.
- Plan and deliver 1:1 support and group work to young people including but not exclusively on the issues of Family issues/breakdown, Mental health, Sexual health and relationships, Offending/Crime, NEET- Employment, Education and Training.
- Work in partnership with professionals from other organisations that support young people, such as, health, police, youth offending, schools. The post holder will focus on working with partners in the local area to encourage Young People aged 12 to 19 to engage in services.
- Work with Young People and their Families to support with school attendance and increase take up of further education opportunities to reduce the number of Young People who are NEET.
- Support Young People and their Families by supporting multi-agency Team Around Families (TAF's) utilising the Early Help Assessment framework to identify support needs and appropriate agencies to address these needs.
- Engage with Young People to understand their lived experience to influence and inform service delivery.
- Link families into existing local resources, developing, and expanding their support networks.
