**_Female Family Support Worker Required_**

From £11.22-£26.52ph - double rate bank hols.

Requires flexibility and 3 weekends to be worked out of 6.

We are excited to be in a position to recruit a personal assistant to provide care and support for a 12 year old girl with complex care needs in the Ponteland area.

Reporting to the Team Leader, and working closely with the client’s family, you will ensure high quality care and effective communication is maintained across in a wide variety of environments and situations.

You will be required to provide care based on a flexible rota, but where commitment is essential. Daily school runs will be required during term time. This post does not include night shifts, but you may be asked to accompany the family on holidays which will be paid.

Full training will be given, along with access to a range of independent therapists and community support staff, to ensure that all team members have the full training they require to work towards common goals and to assist in both the client’s and your own personal development. This role calls for an individual who can act on their own initiative and alsowork as part of a team. A clean driving license is essential as you will be asked to drive family vehicles.

HOURS: 35hrs/ 10hr shifts

Shifts: The shifts will be split shifts to cover transport to/from school during term times, usually 6:30am-11am then 1pm-6:30pm or 7am - 12noon then 1pm to 6pm. Unpaid 1 hr break.

If Not at school shifts are 7am-5pm or 8am to 6pm paid break of 40 minutes

Weekend/Holiday/Periods of illness will be a continuous (non-split) shift of 10hrs. Details to be discussed at interview.

**Salary**: £11.22 per hour weekdays, £13.26 per hour weekends and double time during bank holidays so pay of £22.44 weekday and £26.52 weekend.
