Tower Hamlets Perinatal mental Health Team are expanding. We are looking for one Parent Infant Psycho-Therapist to join the team. The post holder will primarily be required to work as a specialist psycho-therapist providing evidence based interventions within the parent infant relationship. Your day to day activities will include working with Mothers, Babies and Families to enhance bonding, attachment and attunement to promote positive outcomes within this relationship and establishing safe foundations for the future.

**About us**: The Perinatal Mental Health Team is an established and rapidly expanding service which aims to support women during the perinatal period that live in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We are a specialist team comprising: psychiatrists, Nurses, Social worker, OT, psychological therapists and nursery nurses and a bilingual support worker.

Supervision will be provided.
- To formulate and devise psychotherapeutic treatment and management plans for referred clients and to provide psychotherapeutic treatment, using a range of specialist psychological methods and techniques appropriate to the service.
- To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals, to assist in the formulation, diagnosis, management and treatment of clients.
- To co-ordinate and manage a clinical caseload of complex cases (often with child safeguarding concerns)
- To provide advice, assessment and treatment of parents and infants with attachment / bonding difficulties.
- To provide psychotherapeutic assessments of the emotional development of the infant and the forming attachment relationship, including the impact of any psychological difficulties in the parent, with a view to providing either short or long term psychotherapeutic treatment to parents/infants 0-2 years old as appropriate.
