About the role

This is an exciting permanent opportunity within West Northamptonshire Council

The Finance Operations service is seeking to recruit a Financial Assessment Team Leader to join the Financial Assessment Team.

The Financial Assessment Team process the invoicing of care contributions for customers receiving care from Adult Social Care Services.

The role will be responsible for the day to day operational needs of this service and the line management of a team of Financial Assessment Officers, ensuring that an accurate and efficient service is provided for West Northamptonshire Council.

You will need:
To have previous supervisory experience

To be able to make operational changes to processes, implementing future developments.

Significant operational experience in a similar environment.

Knowledge of Welfare Benefits and the Care Act 2014.

Experience of visiting service users and the ability to influence changes working with internal/external customers.

The council is in the process of implementing a new pay structure and terms and conditions which will be applicable to this role. The outcome could result in a future variation to the advertised salary, and this will be discussed at interview.
