Talent Acquisition Team Leader; Location: Flexible
The Talent Acquisition Team Leader’s primary purpose is to lead, govern and maximize delivery within an agile sprint environment ensuring that we put people in the right place, at the right time, at the right cost
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate accountability for delivery of job requisitions within the sprint, creating a self-managing team environment
- Management of the workload of the team/ensure the workload is evenly distributed across the team to ensure optimal effectiveness delivering the workload
- Work with Talent Acquisition Business Interface Manager ensuring the flow and approval/classification of job requisitions
- Imbed consistent processes and experiences for our customers to ensure we are working towards the “gold standard” service.
- Identify areas for development in the team and facilitate upskilling as a team commitment
- Manage communication in-feeds from multiple avenues to the team so they have a view on wider company activity and the overall TLC direction of travel, providing context and support if required
- Work with Scrum Master on Sizing and Assigning roles/requisitions
- Escalation point from the Team or our customers on issues connected to the Sprint Team
- Operate as a Senior Recruiter on senior or niche job requisitions, carrying a requisition load as required
- Role model and exemplify Talent Acquisition best practice in all aspects of work and behaviours
- Celebrate successes within the team through delivering to and exceeding team goals
- Work in partnership with the Scrum Master to ensure Agile principles and ways of working are upheld, and the creation of a safe environment where there is space for reflection and learning through experimentation, and from mistakes
- Regular feedback to the Head of Talent Acquisition on status of team and team objectives, providing recommendations on how we can improve
- Regularly review the tools and systems the team have available and provide feedback/team suggestions back to the Head of Talent Acquisition
- Regular reviews of our advertising strategy against budget and provide innovative solutions to finding scarce and in demand skills in an ever-changing marketplace
- Regularly review customer feedback and provide insights and make adaptions to process and performance
- Assist the TA Project Support Manager with embedding initiatives and process changes into the Team sprints
- Work in collaboration with the TA Project Support Manager and the Global TA Team to support company branding and our external value proposition
- Representation at external networking events, seminars and recruitment events ensuring we are keeping our networks and knowledge current and at the forefront of market changes so we can adapt and pivot our ways of working
- Advocate Diversity & Inclusion and help embed new process and activities within the team to support a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Creation of dashboards and data analysis of Talent Acquisition data as and when required to drive performance
- Work collaboratively with the Global TA Team should they be assisting on any vacancies and shortlisting requirements
- Provide assessment and selection expertise to our customers and assist with interviewing and upskilling the team in all aspects of interviewing ensuring best practice and removal of bias within the process
Experience
- Previous experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role in a large complex organisation
- Experience of successfully managing Teams either directly or across complex projects from inception through to delivery
- Team Management and coaching experience is required in order to manage performance appropriately with regular check ins and career coaching advice
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
- Personal powers of resilience and tenacity; takes personal responsibility for resolving performance issues within the Team before they impact on the business;
- Ideally an advocate of working in an agile environment and an understanding of the basic principles and methodology

**Skills**:

- The role requires innovation and adaptation in a fast-paced Team environment and therefore we are looking for someone who can lead a Team and navigate agile responses to changing priorities and processes
- Ability to identify how changes in business strategy impact talent needs and assist in understanding & identifying skills gaps and appropriate talent pools in response
- The ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of company in terms of strategy, construct and strategic direction and the ability to simplify key messages to the Team
