**About the Role**

The Senior People Partner - the role will work with the senior retail operations team as a strategic partner to reshape structures, build capabilities and drive business performance to meet business strategy e.g. data and insight. Working with dotted line responsibility to the Retail People Partners, they will proactively identify opportunities for the People team to act as enablers to achieve the functional objectives and business plan.

The People Partner will be influential in driving all people and organisation-related programmes and initiatives in the business function, including but not limited to, organisational design and target operating development, performance and talent management, succession planning, reward and recognition and change management. The role will partner with all areas of COE within the People Team.
- This role will operate as part of the Retail Operations Team, translating and influencing the People strategy to meet functional needs and deliver the business plan.
- The role will offer advice and guidance on HR best practice and employee relations support to the senior operations leadership team. The role will be the natural Deputy for the Director of People for Retail.

**Key Responsibilities;**

Partnering Leadership Teams
- Develop strong partnering relationships with the key stakeholders and direct reports, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective people strategies and people plans which support the functional goals and drive sustained performance in alignment with our People Strategy
- Provide clear measurable feedback to coach leaders on their personal impact and leadership, to enable them to develop themselves and others and role model our behaviours and values
- Work with leaders and the L & D team to identify and plan relevant learning and development across the function in order to improve performance, capability and talent development to further the objectives of the function.
- Support and drive the engagement and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring all leaders take responsibility for their own teams’ engagement and ensuring robust action plans and effective feedback mechanisms are in place to drive engagement at all levels. Play an active role in any survey preparation and results cascade to ensure understanding and buy-in.
- Influencing and collaborating with all Retail People Partners and Centres of Expertise
- Provide advice and guidance on action plans to support retention and development of high potential individuals. Develop robust succession plans with actions clearly identified and planned for.
- Work closely with the L & D team to plan and deliver leadership development programmes and coaching as required
- Work closely with the Recruitment Manager and team to ensure all vacancies are filled as efficiently as possible whilst driving the D&I strategy.
- Support leaders to ensure all new colleagues regardless of level have a great on-boarding and induction experience.

Expertise
- Support leaders to develop organisational structures and target operating models which meet changing business needs; manage talent and succession pipeline to meet these requirements.
- Facilitate change across the function in line with business requirements
- In partnership with the leadership team own the establishment plan and budget
- Advise leaders on high level or complex employee relations cases
- Support managers to drive a performance management culture

- Work effectively with the Centre of Expertise teams and Director of People Services

- Work on key People projects to ensure the delivery of the people strategy
- Contribute to the People strategy

**About You**
- You will have proven experience in a Business Partnering role, ideally with Support Office experience
- You will have a solid HR background
