**£ COMPETITIVE**Our client is a global producer and distributor of award-winning premium film & TV content.
They have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join the Legal & Business Affairs Team in London.
THE ROLE
The team are seeking a lawyer to support the international TV distribution team with a particular focus on rights-in (acquisitions).
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Negotiating, structuring, drafting and reviewing agreements for the acquisition of distribution rights in scripted and non-scripted television programmes
- Providing day-to-day support and guidance to the international TV distribution team generally in relation to specific deals as the business expands
- Providing advice on underlying rights, copyright and other intellectual property issues; and on compliance and regulatory matters
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of templates and industry and legal developments
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Proven media sector experience gained in a media-focused private practice or in-house at a broadcaster, producer, or major studio is a must.
Experience of financing structures and practices in the TV / film industry (e.g., inter-party / inter-creditor agreements, security arrangements) is beneficial, but not required.
