**Full time: in average 45 Hours Per Week, day and night shifts**

**Pay rate: 12.11 per hours, which equates to £28,377.40 in average per year for a full-time role.**

**Part time: covering sickness, holiday and other work related absence. day and night shifts**
- **Job Summary**_

To provide a monitoring and control service using CCTV, communication systems and computer based access control systems, within the standards laid down in the Code of Practice and Operational Procedural Manual.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To maintain personal standards of appearance whilst on shift and to ensure your dress is always in good order as outlined in the site Assignment Instruction.

2. To monitor and patrol CCTV cameras effectively and to take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen or informed about.

3. To record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate format. Record these onto a computerised format and any other media required.

4. To maintain personal integrity and confidentiality of all information obtained within the CCTV Control Room, at all times, whether written, verbal or by any other means.

5. To ensure all equipment is functioning correctly, carry out equipment checks as required, and to inform immediately all required personnel of faults found. Report all faults in accordance with Council CCTV Operating Procedural Manual.

6. To ensure security and cleanliness of the CCTV Control Room and ensure equipment is always maintained satisfactorily. Ensure access procedures are followed in accordance with the Assignment Instruction and Operation Procedure Manual.

7. To always communicate with Council other units and external agencies in a professional and courteous manner.

8. To undertake any special operational duties as required or instructed by Enigma management and perform any other tasks or duties which the person is reasonably expected to or instructed to undertake.

9. To extract data from digital recorders, copy evidence onto media and complete documentation in accordance with control room procedures. Provide witness statements as and when required.

10. Ensure proper documentation is completed before any media is removed by Police or any authorised personnel as laid down in the assignment instruction and operating procedure.

11. To understand and follow site Assignment Instructions and Operating Procedural Manual as issued by Enigma CCTV and the site CCTV Manager.

12. To pay due regard to the company’s Health & Safety Policy. Conduct check calls as required by the site Assignment Instructions.

13. To promote a positive view towards the company, the customer and other staff.

14. To report to management, any faults or defects that may prevent you from carrying out your duties efficiently

17. To act as relief to cover other staff duties during periods of absence, as and when required
- **Person specification**_: REQUIRED Qualifications and Skills
- SIA CCTV License is essential, but support can be provided to obtain it.
- Flexible and adaptable to work shift patterns
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Excellent telephone and radio skills
- IT and Computer Literate
- Able to interact with customers
- Willing to do rotating shift pattern
- Customer service and control room experience is desirable

Operators may be required to undergo a police officer vetting procedure or other approved security clearance before commencing duties as a CCTV operator.

Operators may be required to attend court and give evidence based on their duties as a CCTV operator.
