- We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lasting/Making Room Operative based in our factory in Northampton.
- Back-part moulding,
- Toe lasting,
- Side lasting,
- Inseam trimming,
- Upper trimming,
- Welt sewing,
- Bagging,
- Sole laying,
- Rough rounding,
- Sole stitching,
- Channel opening/closing,
- Bottom levelling,
- Wheeling.
- Heeling.

Training can be provided to help increase the output and the level of flexibility in the factory
- Produce work to the highest quality,
- Proactive and using his/her own initiatives,
- Produce volumes in accordance with the company expectation ensuring customer deadlines are met at all times,
- Ensure own machinery is fully functional and refer to Engineer if any issues,
- Maintain a neat and tidy environment,
- Ensure work is not ‘passed on’ if there are any defects.
- The following skills, knowledge, and abilities will be needed by a prospective factory operative to be able to perform his/her duties effectively:

- Good general standard of education,
- Knowledge of the Shoe Industry and its products,
- Acceptable knowledge of Health and Safety principles,
- Capability to understand expectations regarding quality,
- Ability to utilise diverse machines and possession of practical aptitude,
- Sound communication aptitude in delivering beneficial teamwork,
- Must be a team player, with attention to detail.
