An excellent opportunity has arisen for Business Support Assistants to join Education Scotland at an exciting time.

This role sits within our Strategic Business Unit, with the main focus to provide business planning and support across the organisation.

Education Scotland is Scotland's national improvement agency for education. Our role is to provide assurance and promote improvement, from the early years to adult learning. We are committed to embedding our values of excellence, creativity, integrity and respect in everything we do.

This role can be based out of one of our Education Scotland office locations in Glasgow, Livingston, Inverness, Dundee or Aberdeen.

**Job description**:

- Organising and managing logistics for events.
- Collating and processing data and maintaining databases (e.g. survey and evaluation responses, event attendees and engagement).
- Liaising with colleagues and external customers.
- Raising, tracking and receipting Purchase Orders (EASEbuy).
- Ensuring rota cover of reception duties such as, maintaining security in line with procedure, monitoring reception mailbox, ensuring visitors and contractors are signed in, provided with health and safety information and issued passes or keys where required.
- Ensuring staff have access to guidance and information about reception services, maintaining this on the intranet.
- Providing meeting room and car parking booking support, offering advice, supporting block bookings.

**Responsibilities**:
**Essential Criteria**

1. Experience of working in a fast paced office environment, proficient in the use of Outlook, Word and Excel IT packages.

2. Excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate effectively.

3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload. Along with using you own initiative to balance competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

4. Ability to collate different forms of data to provide appropriate information to produce reports and recommendations
