Associate Director of Psychological Professions
1 week ago
We are pleased to announce that we are recruiting for a Associate Director of Psychological Professions to professionally lead our 375 Psychological Professionals, working across specialities in a wide range of services. Following the retirement of our previous Associate Director of Psychology, we have undertaken a restructure of our psychological professions and are uniting them under one cohesive leadership structure, meaning that this is an exciting time to be joining our organisation.
Reporting directly to the Executive Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of psychological practice across the Trust, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of psychological care.
You will support the organisation in delivering therapeutic services in line with national guidance, regulatory standards, and best practice.
You will be accountable for quality and governance for psychological professionals, aligning this work with the Trust’s professional strategy and the professional standards set by HCPC and other relevant bodies such as UKCP and BABCP.
The role requires strategic and corporate leadership, working in partnership with operational managers and executive colleagues to ensure psychological professions contribute meaningfully to service design, delivery, patient experience, and outcomes.
You will also ensure the psychological workforce is engaged, informed, and aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan and Psychological Professions Workforce Plan.
In addition to leadership duties, you will maintain a clinical caseload, provide expert consultation, and participate in the Director On-Call rota, supporting services 365 days a year, including escalation support for operational issues and liaison with partner agencies.
We are an award winning and CQC rated good health and social care Trust delivering integrated services across Hull, East and North Yorkshire. Find out more on our website
