An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank position within Endoscopy at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. This specialty requires a proactive individual capable of taking responsibility for ensuring achievement of national waiting time targets and managing efficient booking processes across multiple sites in response to the needs of a diverse and critical patient group. Experience and knowledge in endoscopy bookings is essential including waiting list experience and knowledge of endoscopy procedures.
The post holder must have excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their own workload and have a professional attitude. They must be capable of liaising professionally with patients, and with colleagues at all levels, including senior consultants and nurses from across the Trust.
You will also need an overview of the national 6 week diagnostic target, cancer pathways and 18 week pathway management systems.

The job role involves greeting patients at one of many Endoscopy Reception desks and processing the appointment on our internal patient management system, together with waiting list administration and contact patients by telephone to confirm details of the appointment.
Regular liaison with other team members and checking patient records on various Trust databases.
This is a multi-skilled role, and the post holder will rotate with other staff to cover all areas within the service. Full training will be provided.
