**What you'll be doing...**

This is an exciting **entry level role. **Your role as a Workshop Operative will be to prepare parts and assist the Workshop Team to make our iconic furniture and lighting range. This is a manufacturing role in which you will be provided with the relevant training and equipment. You will be part of a dynamic team who take care in their work and collaboratively produce and run an efficient, effective, and safe workshop and working environment.

**About You...**
- Be confident in using both machine-powered and hand-held tools.
- Be happy to perform manual and repetitive work
- Have good manual dexterity and an eye for detail
- Have a good understanding of working to tight deadlines and ability to prioritise tasks
- Be able to follow processes and instructions precisely
- Be committed to producing high quality products
- Demonstrate both independence and teamwork.
- Be careful, diligent, organised and tidy whilst working.
- Be supportive of other team members.
- Have experience that has given you the skills required for this role

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Prepping and sanding raw materials, ready to be assembled by the finishing team
- Consistently produce an efficient output of parts and products to meet daily/weekly schedule requirements within expected lead times.
- Help run an efficient, effective, and safe workshop and working environment.
- Aim for an increasing daily product output and assist with workshop activities as set by Production Coordinator.
- Gain relevant product knowledge: product ranges, wood types, components, stages, finishing, common problems, repairs, lead times, production times.
- Learn to quality control own work under full supervision of senior colleagues.
- Record own timings for each stage of production and aim for timings to reduce.
- Contribute to Workshop systems and processes to result in efficient working practices as part of working in a continuous improvement environment
- Active participation in the induction and skills training programme and practice skills with colleagues; learning from others; supporting the learning of colleagues.
- Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure wastage is correctly recorded and reported.
